Born in 1982 in Rome, Italy, Giancarlo starts taking lessons for Drum Set with different private teachers at the age of 13. Later on, Giancarlo studies drums at the Jazz Academy, Siena (IT) and specializes himself in Jazz and R&B. With Simon Phillips, Virgil Donati, Peter Erskine, Jack de Johnette, Gavin Harrison, Chris Colemann, Thomas Lang, Fabrizio Sferra, Massimo Manzi, John Arnold and many more, he attends workshops and masterclasses.
Giancarlo draws from a rich experience as a touring drummer with artists such as Della Miles, Banda Bassotti, Torpedo and Radici nel cemento throughout Europe and Russia.
To form the personality of the student on the instrument and care about the emotional side of making music are the main goals of Giancarlo’s lessons.
Lessons can be held in English, German and Italian language.
